With 8 years of experience in our brand-new platform: Sr Consultant Matthijs Teerlink
We've known Matthijs since 2015, when he joined us as a part-timer on the Gemboxx team while pursuing his bachelor's degree in information science, a study which used Grexx's technology. During his time as functional designer and configurator, got to know the Grexx Platform inside out. In the years that followed, Matthijs earned his master's degree in business informatics and certified as a Scrum Master. In the meantime, Matthijs occasionally worked for Gemboxx, but in 2021 he transferred to Grexx, where we welcomed him with open arms as a senior consultant.
"In my years at Gemboxx, I worked intensively with the Grexx Platform, so the move to Grexx was not that much of a change. Of course, I already knew the team as well. Still, my work changed. At Gemboxx, I worked as a configurator and scrum master with a team on one project. As a consultant, I now work on several projects simultaneously. I have a lot of customer contact and contact with the dev team, a lot of freedom and a lot of variety. I really like that combination."
Eight years head start.
Since 2015, Matthijs has been working with, what we now call, the new Grexx Platform, which is now fully geared towards organizations seeking to drive their own digital transformation through low-code. Our team has tirelessly been working on this new platform for years, and Matthijs has been one of the earliest testers and users, providing valuable insight and feedback along the way. Matthijs has played an important role in shaping and fine-tuning the new Grexx.
"In my Gemboxx days, I was already involved in the development of the Grexx platform, and now, as a consultant, I’m still involved. It's really cool to think along with the dev team, to show what you're up against, what you feel you’re missing and discovering how things can be done differently. And then to see it work, and that the platform has become a little better as a result, is great."
Sharing expertise.
If you ever work with Matthijs, you’ll quickly see that he is a serious, hard worker who produces high-quality work. He enjoys sharing his knowledge, which has been especially valuable we for our training program, Grexx Enabled.
Matthijs has developed some tutorials and test environments that will get you started with specific parts of the Grexx Platform. For example, if you follow the tutorials on debugging and calculated attributes, you will work in an environment that Matthijs personally programmed.
Enjoying variety.
Overall, Matthijs has quite a varied job. Customer contact, designing and developing applications himself, support in further development of the platform, some tutorials here and there, and occasionally working for Gemboxx. The variety seems to suit him well.
"That variety is a lot of fun; it keeps me on my toes. And I like the challenge of trying new things and working independently yet having a team to fall back on. That's really nice. I get all the freedom to develop and grow independently, which suits me well."
Private life.
Matthijs lives in Utrecht, has a girlfriend. As with work, Matthijs enjoys trying new interests and activities in his personal life. Recently, he completed a skydiving course, a philosophy course and currently has a membership at the local climbing hall. He stays active through sports such as running, cycling and strength training and enjoys hiking and reading.
